The 2015-2016 season was full of many projects so we thought it would be a good time to show pictures of the Archimedes as it is today.
I'll start with the cockpit,
I'll start with the cockpit,
A major project that excited both the Captain and I was wiring each section of actuators/solar arrays individually to the control panel giving us more control over the positioning of the panels!
The cockpit also doubles as our dining room which we call the "lanai". We have a table top that hangs on hooks in front of the engine room hatch. When the weather is nice we enjoy eating our meals while enjoying the sunset.
The first room below deck and to the right of the companionway is the galley.
To the left of the galley area is the custom built dish rack.
To the right is the stove, sink and spice racks.
View to the right... Propane stove, and spice rack.
View to left...toaster oven, blender, mixer, and more storage.
11 cf refrigerator/freezer located in the hallway heading towards the head and mechanical room.
When you turn left from the companion way we have the pantry and stateroom.
I hunted all over the internet and came across these vintage tupperware canisters. Perfect for food storage on an antique vessel. Tupperware are the best storage containers for keeping food from absorbing moisture.
The stateroom with the new high efficiency Willis A/C unit.
The Head
The clothes hamper is stored in the shower area.
Across the hall from the Head is the Mechanical Room.
The A/C, water heater, and all of the controllers for the solar arrays are found in here.
We have plans to further the salon sitting area but for now, this meets our needs.
We need to meet a cabinet maker who needs some A/C work done!
This is a good picture of the hanging closet that the Captain completed at the end of last season.
This is our storage for clothes, and office files, etc.
The view looking back towards the galley area.
Where does Radar hangout?
This is his bed located under ours. It is also extra storage area.
Hanging 10....ummm 20!
A friend gave us this bean bag chair. Radar loves to take naps in it.
How do we get hold of you? I could not find any email address anywhere :-(
ReplyDeleteWe have an electric vehicle club in the Melbourne area and would love to meet you if you are coming this way.
