The first project for Carter was/is the steps up to the Arc. The ladder just isn't safe for all the transporting of heavy stuff up and down, so Carter is 1/2 way through construction. It still needs a landing and a handrail. We have to go back to town today (Monday) and get more materials. Also, we have to get a PO box for mail and renew registration for the whaler. Then, the real work can begin.

I've been shopping welcome mats for a couple days and finally found some that were sturdy enough but not so expensive. They will most likely get trashed while we are here.
Ta Da. It's not quite as steep as it look here but...it is still a little bit steep only now it has a safety handrail and landing to get on the boat. Also, steep is good because Radar will not attempt to go down
