June 10 - 11, 2017 Remnants of Hurricane Andrew, Oak Hill -

After scraping the bottom we enjoyed much better mileage performance from Big Ben, the ancient diesel in the Arc and cruised on up to Ormond Beach.  Devastation from Hurricane Andrew last October can still be seen along the way.

The architecture of this house really caught my eye and then....I saw the dock!  What a shame!

The weather changed for the better and we decided to cruise on electric while the sun was shining.  We cruised a total of 24 miles this day, passing Mayport in Jacksonville...

Then headed into more beaches of driftwood and wilderness.

We quit for the day just south of Amelia Island, close to the FL/GA state line.
