Christmas 2022 and the Frostbite Race January 1, 2023

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

After we participated in the Christmas Boat Parade in Walaka, we packed up and headed north to Tennessee to have Christmas with Jeff and Stacy,

Unfortunately, an unusual below 0 degree winter storm blew through the entire east coast of the US and kept Jeff and Stacy home in Virginia.  Too dangerous to travel over the 2 mountain passes they must cross to come south.  Also, there was also a close family member that tested positive for Covid and that shut the entire show down since the kids had been exposed for over a week.  No symptoms fortunately, but it takes time to germinate.  They stayed home.

Jackson was unable to come up to our house so Carter and I went down to their house a couple days after Christmas as previously scheduled.  Carter and I didn't want to travel in that below 0 storm either so we spent Christmas by ourselves at home in Tennessee.

We also got to get together with Nick, Jackie and the girls on Nick's birthday.

And then Carter and Katie participated in the Frostbite Race. They placed 5th out of 16.  Not too shaby!
